On your BlackBerry smartphone, launch B B M. Tap Menu > Options (or More Options for devices running OS version earlier than BlackBerry 6). Scroll down to Delete Account and tap it. If you wish to delete only your profile information such as Contacts, pictures or other data but keep your PIN number intact then select Delete Profile. Did a hard reset with no luck still logged in – contacted BBM Support who advised that my profile was not being deleted and now my number is stuck in limbo unable to log in or out until someone at RIM has their say!!! Why could you not have gone into Settings>Advanced>delete B B M account? Grrrr.

B B M support advised to re-log in and push Yes when asked to delete account – B B M was then deleted.
