Huawei is all set and holding an event on 5th September to launch another series under its Honor sub-brand, called Huawei Honor 8X. As of now, we know that the company will unveil new smartphones, Honor 8X and Honor 8X Max. Now, the company official Weibo account released a teaser and confirmed that the both the 8X and 8X Max will support more than 90% screen-to-body ratio. The Honor 8X series is a successor of the last year Huawei Honor 7X.
In China, Huawei Honor 8X certified by the TENAA and revealed some specs of the phone. According to the TENAA, the phone will come with a 6.5-inch display that supports 2340 x 1080 pixels of resolution. The body dimensions of the 8X are 160.4 × 76.6 × 7.8mm and weigh 175g. It will pack with 3,650mAh capacity battery inside the body. The 8X will come with a water-drop notch design top of the display that only carries selfie camera.
The Honor 8X will be powered by Octa-Core CPU under the hood which clocks at 2.2 GHz. However, there is no word about the chipset on board. The phone expected to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 or Kirin 710 SoC. The 8X will come in two RAM and ROM variants, one base model will have 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage and top model will have 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage. It will run on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system along with EMUI running on top. It will have dual camera sensors on the back side, 20-megapixel main camera and 2-megapixel secondary camera. On the front side, it will come with a 16-megapixel camera for selfies.
The 8X will have a fingerprint scanner and micro SD card slot on board. The phone expected to available in Black, Red, Blue and Light Purple color option in Chinses market.
The Huawei Honor 8X Max appeared on Vmall online. According to the Vmall and recent leaks, the 8X Max expected to come with a 7.2-inch display with 2340 x 1080 pixels of resolution. The phone will available in two memory variants 64 GB and 128 GB internal storage. Both the variants will have 4 GB of RAM on board. It will come with dual camera sensors on the back side, 16-megapixel main and 2-megapixel secondary camera s. on the front side, it will have an 8-megapixel camera for selfies.
Yesterday, an image shared on Weibo and revealed one of the Honor 8X series smartphone price. According to the posted image, one of the employee sticking up tags which carry price and specs of products sold in the store. There are Honor 8X price tag shows in the shared image and the price on it is ¥2099 (~$308).
However, the specs details on the 8X tag are not clear enough to see. We expect that the price on the tag is for Honor 8X 6 GB RAM and 128 storage model not for the 4 GB RAM model. We expected that the 4 GB 8X will come with less price tag.
On 5th September at product launching event, the company will not only unveil the Honor 8X series smartphones but also Huawei Honor Band 4.
